The comments we made about this ski are similar to those we made for the Rossignol Experience 88 Ti W. Like the Rossignol Experience 88 Ti W, the Dynastar Intense 4x4 82 Pro seemed very similar to the men’s version, the Speed Zone 4x4 Pro. Once again, the sidecut is the same and the weight is similar.
While the male testers found their model fairly soft, our female testers found the women’s version stiff and demanding for a women’s build.
Overall performance is good, as long as you are well-positioned, forward, pressing hard on the tongue of the boot.
Like for the Rossignol, we wondered whether there was a problem with the way the ski was tuned, which there undoubtedly was. In fact, the testers found the behavior of the ski “erratic,” which would suggest that there was a problem with how the test pair was sharpened.
We would like to retest these two skis next year to find out for sure.
Like for the Rossignol, the Dynastar Intense 4x4 Pro is a stiff, physical, and demanding ski. It will appeal to experienced, athletic, and strong female skiers.
