In both the Women’s and Men’s Cruisers categories, we choose skis that have one main quality - consistency. We do not look for the best performing models, nor the most accessible ones, but those that provide a balanced combination of performance, comfort, ease of use, and versatility.
The Nova 14 Ti, the flagship model of Rossignol’s Nova line, perfectly fulfills the criteria of this category. This new range of the French brand corresponds to the men’s React line, and replaces the old Famous range.
At 699 euros a pair, the Nova 14 Ti is not exactly cheap, but you get your money’s worth.
Our first observation is that performance is good. The ski is reinforced by a Titanal plate and is grippy, solid throughout the turn, and very “stable at high speed.”
It is also versatile: the ski carves and skids easily and is at ease in all turn radii.
The Nova 14 Ti is not very demanding. It is “very easy to get a handle on” and requires little technical ability or physical effort. It is a perfect blend of accessibility and performance, making it a great ski to learn on and can help a skier progress to the next level.
The testers comments emphasized how fun the ski was and the amazing sensations they had on it: "A fun ski" and "very enjoyable." They really appreciated how smooth and playful it was, and especially enjoyed the energetic rebound at the end of the turn.
An excellent all-rounder, very easy and forgiving, and super fun. The Nova 14 Ti will appeal to a wide range of female skiers, from intermediates wanting to improve their technique, to experts looking for a high-performance ski that is versatile and comfortable.
