Elan Amphibio 18 TI2 review 2020

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

In a category where we look for consistency, that is, a balanced mix of performance, comfort, accessibility, and versatility, the Amphibio 18 Ti2 has amazing qualities to offer.

In terms of performance, we only have good things to say. The ski is equipped with two Titanal plates, and it performs well and is calm in all conditions. Edge grip is excellent, it holds the line well, especially in long turns.

It is incredibly accessible. The testers liked that the ski was “easy to handle,” “not tricky,” and solid and predictable in all conditions. The Amphibio 18 Ti2 is not a demanding ski. It requires little physical effort and you can “ski fast and smoothly.”

It is also quite versatile. In particular, the ski can skid, slide, or carve whenever the skier wants to. The only negative point is that it lacks a bit of agility and is less at ease in short turns where it requires more effort.

We should point out that the ski is asymmetric (there is a right ski and a left ski).

The Elan Amphibio 18 Ti2 is a real "cruiser," the type of ski that you are at ease on in all types of terrain and at all speeds, without needing to put in a lot of physical effort. We recommend it to a wide range of skiers, in particular to skiers who do not have the chance to ski regularly and who want to have fun with minimal effort.
