Head V-Shape 4 review 2019
PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments
PROSKILAB only reviews the very best skis on the market. So, if the V-Shape 4 from Head is in last place, it is nothing to be ashamed of. Its score proves that the ski has great qualities.
It performs better than the other skis in this category but is less forgiving. It is a little difficult to do well in a category that values ease of use more than anything else.
The ski's overall performance is very good, and the ski is solid and predictable.
The ski is relatively stiff for this category, and it is very shaped with a deep sidecut. The tail is catchy, making snow plow and stem turns more difficult. On the other hand, the ski prefers carved turns with a bit of heel pressure at low speed, which makes it an excellent ski for skiers looking to improve their carving skills.
The V-shape 4 is a good ski for strong intermediate skiers who can make parallel turns. Lower level skiers should go for a more accessible ski like the Konic 78 or the Speed Zone 7.
Review: Pros
- Overall performance
- Skidded turns
- Easy and smooth carved turns
- Predictable
Review: Cons
- Skiers need to know how to ski parallel
- Not very forgiving
